After solving the Black Ops 6 piano puzzle in the Call of Duty campaign, which grants access to this basement, you’ll find that your path is obstructed by a defective boiler. You can fix this boiler during any ‘The Rook’ mission, but it’s best to do so early on as you’ll receive a large sum of credits for your efforts. 

The Black Ops 6 boiler puzzle is definitely one of the more difficult challenges in the safehouse basement. Here’s what you must do to fix it.

Black Ops 6 furnace puzzle solution

The Black Ops 6 furnace or boiler can be found by down some stairs behind the door in the corridor, directly behind the room where Frank Woods is sat. That will lead to a basement where you can find the boiler in a side room.

A note will explain that you can’t light the pilot light with the fuel line fully open because of a leak, and you’ll need to fill it with water once the light is on to get it going.

So to light the boiler in Black Ops 6 follow these steps:

1. Turn the middle boiler valve twice to stop the leaks – the dial should drop to zero.
2. Turn the furthest most fuel valve once, so the dial is half way.
3. Turn on the pilot light.
4. Go back to the middle boiler valve and turn it once.

That sequence should light the furnace in Black Ops 6 and you’ll know when you’ve got it right because all the interaction prompts will disappear and you won’t be able to touch anything any more.

Now you can open the door at the bottom of the stairs you unlocked by solving the piano puzzle. Inside you’ll need to decrypt the Black Ops 6 keypad to proceed and be one step closer to the Black Ops 6 safe code.

So, to get the boiler on in Black Ops 6 and light the furnace you’ll need to stop the leaks and adjust the fuel to get the pilot light on and then get the water back on.
