Talking Point: What Have You Bought In The Xbox Black Friday Sale So Far?

Today marks exactly a week since the Xbox Black Friday Sale 2024 officially went live on the Xbox Store, providing us with hundreds and hundreds of discounts for a variety of great games – including some major releases from this year!

We’ve seen some huge games being reduced in recent days, including the likes of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, Hogwarts Legacy, Undisputed, NBA 2K25, Forza Horizon 4, Cyberpunk 2077, Star Wars Outlaws and so much more!

As you’ll see in that 90-95% article above, some absolutely incredible games have been reduced to just a few pounds, euros and dollars in the Xbox Black Friday Sale as well, and we’ve been busy adding a few of these to our backlogs!

But how about you? Have you bought anything in the Xbox Black Friday Sale 2024 yet, and what have you grabbed if so? You’ve got until December 2nd to take advantage, so there’s still almost two weeks left until it ends for good.

Absolutely nothing and resisting the urge to even look. At some point I’ve got to spend more time playing games than buying them.

Edit – might get Mass Effect Legendary actually. Oops.

I got 3 more months of Game Pass and subbed to Geforce Now. Think I’m done buying games for a while. Also got a few PS Plus games to play from recenr additions (Dead Space Remake, Ghostwire Tokyo).

I honestly buy something every week so I don’t remember what it was that I bought this time. Might check later when I’m playing if I remember, but I think the cart had like 9 games.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous GOTY Edition (not “new” but new as a bundle)

@NintendoByNature How does that run/look on Series X. I thought I remember reading that it was buggy and just overall a bad port when it first came out. Has it improved?

I’m waiting till I decide what I’m going to purchase overall so i can get stuff. Yet I’m looking at picking up Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster and maybe Vessel of Hatred.

Waiting for my credit card to get its next cycle 🤣

But plan to scoop Legend of Mana and Trials of Mana. Might scoop a few other things, but even with Mana being on gamepass, the sale prices too good.

Though I did buy The crew motorfest and Balatro from Best Buy

Nothing. My backlog is already hundreds of games and Game Pass fills in a lot of newer stuff.

Not a single thing waiting to get my series x before buying anything on the best behavior sure Christmas coming up keeping the missed happy not wasting money on games when series x is on the horizon 🧑‍🌾

Not a thing but I will probably pick up a new controller as the right shoulder button is starting to fail (2nd time this happened.)

Next planned game purchase will be path of exile early access beta but that wont be a sale purchase.

@Scrubchub haha preach! I’ve told myself that I’m buying nothing unless BG3 goes on sale, still not played Elden Ring and I bought that in summer 🤣 damn game pass getting in the way

Gotham Knights for my Series S/PC.

I played a bit on my daughter’s PlayStation a little while back and contrary to what I read about the game I rather enjoyed it. Simple, but fun. For £6.49 I’m not going to complain.

Waiting for disc deals of course. Nothing even decent yet but looking for SW Outlaws if it hits under $40 USD.
I have most Series X games I want on disc that even have released and played them.

The Sale is lacking. Seems like slim pickings from the prior years. The games on sale worth getting aren’t cheap enough in my opinion. The sales I’ve seen before for those prices.

While I did purchase a game the pickings are slim. These console sales are rarely exciting. I guess I’ve been spoiled by Steam and GoG sales over the years.

I just bought Stalker 2 which should consume a month of free time.

I’ve got some b/c goodies KOTOR 1&2 and other SW games sitting in the cart. Only need 400 more Reward points and that 25 dollar gift card is mine and I can add MORE to the backlog of shame

@Tasuki haven’t gotten to it yet but apparently all consoles got a nice patch to make them run much better. So I’m sure it’ll be fine.

Nothing…everything I was interested in I found cheaper on CD key sites so Xbox needs to do better on these so called “sales”

Tomb Raider Remastered Trilogy. Since the recent update to improve modern controls it plays really well.
Mass Effect Andromeda (finding it much underrated so far. Loads of fun.)
